According to official statistics, in last two years, bail money paid after acquitting criminal cases was returned to 8 people only. Tbilisi City Court told this information to “Iveroni”.

The news agency officially requested current year’s statistics on the above stated but the court gave no details.

Local human rights activists do not trust the information of Court and stated that "the Georgian justice of the verdict of not guilty in a criminal case is not a matter of fact, in most cases ends with a plea agreement, the fact of bail money return to legal precedent, Georgian history does not remember."
