Head of People’s Representative Assembly, Nona Gaprindashvili threatens government with “checkmate”.
She made this statement at online press conference on “Facebook”. Gaprindashvili answered over 100 questions during one hour online conference. Most of the questions were about the relations between People’s Representative Assembly and “Georgian Dream”.
She was quite restrained while talking about Ivanishvili, but Gaprindashvili did not cover her anger that Ivanishvili’s coalition does not want to fight against government with united front policy.
In addition she noted that People’s Representative Assembly won’t cooperate with “Georgian Dream” without Nino Burjanadze.
“We are one body. Burjanadze will be in all battles of People’s Representative Assembly”, answered she to one of the questions.
Questions rose about ruling party as well. Gaprindashvili is sure that Saakashvili won’t give up his position easily, moreover when Ivanishvili’s party does not present the power that is able to change the ruling party. The only real power that can arrange “checkmate” to this government will be Opposition United Front”, noted Gaprindashvili.
