Mindia Gulua, businessman in Russia, counselor for international issues of the party “For Renewed Georgia” makes statement. ”Iveroni” offers the text of this statement.
“I follow through the political processes which takes place in Georgia. It’s obvious that I’m interested how media responds of me as of a counselor for international issues of the party “For Renewed Georgia” and businessman in Russia. I would be happiest man if I could spend the best years of my life of my youth in my native country Georgia. Georgian reader knows that I was persuaded to leave my beloved Sukhumi and it was not my will, but fault of war in Abkhazia. I still suffer too much, that I live in alien country and have to respond to exclamations of some people. I can’t judge for others people, but for me hard social-political situation in Georgia provoked my active participation in politics. I think that man should have frozen heart to look all those disaster that happens in his own country and only enjoy his wealth, I mean myself. I am lucky to have enough financial resources as well as I’m ready to stand by my bloody souls and my genetics and to fund even last my tetri to improve the situation that occurred in my country. I’m saddened that by now I can’t come to Georgia, but it doesn’t permit to take some practical actions.
As you know, political party associated to my name (“For Renewed Georgia”) made serious statement in May 12 in Tbilisi, Batumi and different regions of Samegrelo, when was organized meeting of many thousands of refugees. In spite of many obstacles made by government, our political party went through this test_ and main fact is that May 12 was declared as a day of reunion of Georgians, Abkhazs, and Ossetians and was founded international charity fund that will work on solving of refugees problems in a fast way. As I stated in live stream while meeting, me as a ordinary Georgian living abroad_ Mindia Gulua transfer 25 million dollars on fund account (I already have many Abkhaz and Ossetian friends who backs me in this endeavor) and applied Georgian Maecenas Mr. Bidzina Ivanishvili to show empathy and take part in this funds formation. I was honest to think that Mr. Bidzina would accept my suggestion with great pleasure and would take this first opportunity (I emphasize that this is first opportunity) to take part in solving problems of refugees from regions of Abkhazia and Samachablo. I was surprised, when by Georgian mass media press-speaker of “Georgian Dream”, Mrs. Maia Fanjikidze announced: “Bidzina Ivanishvili doesn’t need mid-persons to fund for charity… and Ivanishvili doesn’t need any kind of assistance from Mindia Gulua.” (Informational Agency “Iveroni”_May 14, 2012). It was really ‘surprise’ for me. I thought: if man haven’t cared about most suffering part of his bloody souls and genetics may be his conscious could wake up (God knows I don’t need Ivanishvili finances to be rich!) I know that about Maecenas Ivanishvili there are legends in whole Georgia, but reason of his Maecenas activity is clear like day and will be more “light” about it in future. Yes, it meant Ivanishvili to have my hint to care about refugees, but they are not subject of his interest, and I knew it. Take note: refugees were not considered as equal citizens of Georgia by Shevardnadze as well as by Saakashvili governments (and it lasts till today) and attitude towards them always was abusive. Bidzina Ivanishvili, well known though his charity activity, didn’t show any kind of empathy. It was not his plan and still is cold towards this subject!
There is no subject to insist on the fact that Mr. Ivanishvili is true opponent of this government. I declare openly: Ivanishvili and “National Movement” are two parts of one whole. Due to this fact this disagreement is a political false and game. Uniting of Georgian political spectrum is not Ivanishvili’s plan as he loudly announced in the beginning of month of October, as well as sending to political deadlock Georgian government. More. His oppositional status was indicated by written scenario and has no connection to real interests of Georgia.
And what about the scum stated by the so named leaders of his coalition (sorry for this saying), that I tied up with Georgian government, time will show who tied to whom and how! I suggest to quasi political elements which are united with coalition, to take on hold their tongues, though I, in different of them, have real documents to prove how they sell for coins Georgian interests to fill their own holed pockets.
Due to my faith I can’t hate, but I can’t be silent too when some of the people mislead society and threatens to the future of my country. Yes, I declare: I don’t hate any of the government members, but I categorically disagree with the style and methods of ruling of the country, which helps to establish elements of ignoring rights and dictatorship. Also I can’t be neutral to the new “Messiah” Bidzina Ivanishvili, who cheats without shame to my native Georgians and has nothing in common with bright future of the country. Trust, my Georgians, Ivanishvili is not so called “Georgian project”. And who is author of this project time will prove. But I have one wish for Georgian journalist to ask Mr. Bidzina: when he visited last America, or Russia, where are concentrated his finances and what kind of dossier he has?!
…to say concretely I don’t want my native Georgians to feel cheated. Imagine that happened miracle: won Ivanishvili’s coalition_ what kind of difference is between “republicans” and brothers of from Georgian government?!
I don’t know how reliable my information is, but many of people say that before elections for fake reason Ivanishvili will run from Georgia. Believe me, position of Prime-Minister as well as presidency are not Mr. Bidzina’s interest. Issue of his citizenship also in advance planned “mistake”, changes supposed to be made in constitution also false planned in advance, which aims to emphasize not very actual issues of the society. I have question: why government doesn’t plan to take norm in “planned” constitutional changes me to have right to take part in elections?! Answer is simple: I am not Bidzina Ivanishvili and not that kind of man to participate in dirty game. So you can think why I’m not allowed in Georgia and why I can’t take active political steps!
P.S. There is little time left before parliamentarian elections. I don’t know what changes can be, but for now everything goes through that scenario, as it was written. Let’s see, how my forecast will explain away and will crush or not like shack overwhelmed hopes connected to Bidzina Ivanishvili. There is one thing I hope won’t happen: society won’t fall in nihilism. This my response and statement made exactly for this reason.
