Georgian Patriarchate did not know anything about the idea of establishing Muslim clergy preparatory faculty. Patriarchate learned the information from “Iveroni”.

“All Muslims in Georgia” has already started negotiations with Minister of Education of Georgia in this regard.
According to the information of newspaper “Batumelebi”, the statement regarding above stated was made by Jemal Paksadze, Mufti of “All Muslims in Georgia”.
“Our national interest is, people who should become religious persons, to take higher academic education in Georgia on Georgian language. Therefore, we have already started negotiations with Ministry of Education of Georgia. Educational program should be developed with EU assistance. As far as I know there are similar schools in European countries and they are quite well experienced in it”, - said Jemal Paksadze.
In addition, Mufti of “All Muslims in Georgia” does not know so far where exactly teaching will be conducted, or to which University shall be subjected the department, but as he said, it will be better teaching to be done in the capital.
